R-Duba. It wasn't the best trading post in the Galaxy, but it would do. It was under the radar. The Union wouldn't find them out here, hopefully. With a sharp jolt and a constant rustle, the Long Ago Junk landed and Arran sighed. "We're here to get a droid that can communicate with the ship and get her running..." he said as he ran his hand across his face and sat up. He left the ship in civilian clothes, with a blaster tucked into his holster. He didn't enjoy hiding, or the thought of hiding who he really was. The chances of being caught out here were slim, but Arran didn't want to take his chances. They badly needed a droid. Arran knew that.

Where they landed was miles away from the coast, surrounded by nothing but sand and desert rock for miles. It was like a little Tattooine, he knew Zanka would appreciate the place more than Arran. He hated deserts.

"I'll do all the talking. I don't know how these people are going to react when they see a Jawa...they might think you are going to sell them something they already own." It was a joke, but nonetheless a true stereotype for Jawas. Even if he won't admit it, Arran enjoyed being out of the seat of politics; being able to roam the Galaxy with some purpose, even if the purpose is something as bad as finding his wife and having to fight a government power.

Beggars can't be choosers.

Crossed his arms--face took on an expression of distrust, not like anyone could see it though. Useful shroud. Could communicate with the ship just fine. Kept her running just fine. Idea that a droid could do--should do it, he didn't like it. His ship. Still, could be useful. Wouldn't contest that idea. Long as the droid listened to orders about the ship. Then would put aside distaste for others tinkering with his ship.

Enjoyed the desert. Reminded him of home. On second thought, no. Just enjoyed the desert. Not the most fond views of home. Still, sand was nice. The thought of racism by others here though, not so much. Him being there, not just talking—would cause an issue. Jawas were notorious for ripping off others. Then playing the victim. Their fault. Didn't have much hope for them.

Followed Arran, dressed in normal jawa attire. Still no poncho. Blaster holstered, set out with Arran. Would get the droid, hopefully would help the ship run better. Doubted it.

Sand kicked up from the ground with every step, sending plumes to sweep passed their legs toward the trading post, where aliens bartered for odd ends of junk in the Galaxy. "How hard do you think it will be to find a suitable droid in these parts?" Arran said as he looked around, noticing aliens walk past with a handful off wires and sprockets. This would be a Jawa's paradise, if there were any, Arran noted to himself.

"Keep your eyes peeled for a droid shop Nk'ik. You search the southwest side, I'll check further north. We meet back by that fruit stand. Keep your eyes peeled, and your senses clear. Never be too careful."

Looked about the area. Lots of parts—both in number and differences. Depended on the seller and what you were looking for. Utility, astrmech, protocol, those sort of things. Even then, wasn't sure what was defined as suitable. Would accept anything himself, not sure if Arran had a higher standard. Wanted to go and look at the different parts, maybe would be able to find something to fix the paneling that Arran had torn up with his lightsaber. Still, had come to find the droid, that was the priority.

Gave a nod to Arran. South side—though, fruit stand? Wondered if they had any hubba gourd. Could check later. Didn't doubt the availability of droids, walking around with parts like that was asking for something to be fixed. Or at least, tinkered with. Pushed aside those thoughts aside and split off from Arran.

How hard should it have been looking for a droid shop?

A toydarian got in his face about buying a new moisture evaporator that hasn't come out of the market yet, and it being a "flash deal" that "should be acted on now". Arran walked by him without showing any interest. He kept his mind at hand, which was to find a suitable droid for the ship, but he could feel something else too. Somewhere, someone was watching him. He felt the intruder through the Force and could hear its thoughts. Why was he being watched? If it were the Union, they would have made a scene already and tried to arrest him. The Union was not at play. It was another party.

A Chiss jumped from behind a corner with his blaster pointed at Arran's chest. Arran quickly hit the gun away and grabbed the Chiss into a headlock with one arm, drawing his pistol with the other. Another assailant, a male Duros, held a heavy repeater in his hand and sprayed it in Arran's direction. These guys weren't playing around. They wanted him dead.

Arran held the Chiss up in front of him. He screamed as the plasma melted his flesh in what sounded like a pebble submerging into a lake. When there was a break in fire, Arran threw the Chiss to the side and blasted a couple of shots into the Duros. He fell backward hard.

Bounty hunters.

Arran flicked on his comm unit, "Nk'ik, any sight of a droid shop? We've got some company."

Had begun to look at several vendors. Most turned away at the sight of him. Figured. Thought he would take anything not bolted to the ground. Couldn't blame them, in all honesty. Wanted to see the parts they had later on--if would turn away at the sight, doubted would be good to do business after the droid. Stopped in front of an Aqualish merchant. Had only begun to get out sentence--Question. Which way's the----stopped by the Aqualish. Get out of here jawa, nothing here for you to sell me. I don't want your kind infesting this planet. Shot him a glare--wouldn't do good to cause a scene here.

Instead harrumphed turned—why did he feel unsettled?--only to hear the priming of a blaster. Aimed down at his head. Was a Gran. Dropped to the ground, used legs to knock out the Gran's feet from under him. Fell. His blaster went to the side. Used Force to pull the Gran's blaster to himself. Ignored Gran's cries, aimed at head, fired.

Call from Arran. None yet. Ran into one. Lovely people, let me get treated poorly by an Aqualish first before trying anything.

Arran took a deep breath into the communit and looked around the area. He hadn't drawn too much attention just yet, but if they didn't find what they were looking for soon, they would have more problems. He caught a glimpse of something out in the distance, a little ways past other trade vendors covered by a small dust cloud. Peering at the sign, he caught the glimpse of the word 'Droids'. "Form up on me, I think I found it," he said.

He hustled to the shop and tucked his blaster into the holster. Upon entering, he was taken back by the variety of droids, droid parts, and accessories scattered along the walls. Parts moved and droids chirped. It was a small droid factory of some kind. Arran waited by the front door with his arms crossed, carefully inspecting each droid her saw, not knowing there were even more in other parts of the building. Surely they would find something.
